2 Best-Selling Cars In America Toyota Camry & Corolla

Automotive world in the United States was up and down, still did not dampen duo Toyota (Camry and Corolla) as the best-selling car in 2009. Even the two sedans are also marketed in Indonesia that, in four major categories as the top-selling car in the Uncle Sam.

Toyota Camry for 2009, could sell as many as 356,824 units. While Toyota Corolla reached 296,874. When the two cars combined total sales to 653,698 units.

Compare with the national market only four-wheel 550,000 units a year range. Itupun from a variety of automotive brands in Indonesia.

With this condition proves that Toyota cars remain the favorite vehicle in America. Not only famous for saving in fuel consumption, the Toyota Camry and the Corolla is very comfortable and easy to drive.

Start engine performance and second performance sedan, is in accordance with the tastes of American society. Not surprisingly, over the years Toyota Camry and the Corolla remains the best seller.

Toyota to Produce Camry Hybrid in Australia

Toyota confirmed today that it will build the Camry Hybrid sedan at its Altona plant in the State of Victoria in south-eastern Australia from the beginning of 2010. Currently, the hybrid Camry is produced only in Japan and the United States. The Japanese carmaker plans to produce 10,000 hybrid Camry vehicles each year for the Australian market. This will add to the existing four-cylinder Camry and six-cylinder Aurion vehicles produced at the Altona plant.

“We decided to build the Camry Hybrid in Australia because Australians are keenly aware of environmental issues including global warming, and we are confident that the Camry Hybrid will be well received. Toyota intends to make further efforts toward popularizing hybrid vehicles”, said TMC President Katsuaki Watanabe at the press conference attended by Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd.

PRESS RELEASE: February 20, 2007 - Torrance, CA - Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc., today announced manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) for the 2007 Camry Hybrid 50th Anniversary Edition. The limited edition Camry Hybrid celebrates Toyota's 50 years of business in the United States.

This specially badged Camry Hybrid comes with features exclusive only to the 50th Anniversary Edition. Its stunning Blizzard Pearl paint, unique 16-inch alloy wheels with a graphite finish, and exterior "50th Anniversary Edition" badging are just some of the 50th Anniversary exclusives not available on any other Camry. A power moonroof and heated power outside mirrors are also standard.

Inside, the Camry Hybrid is equipped with a voice-activated DVD navigation system with a four-disc changer, leather-trimmed bisque-colored interior, heated front seats, and a carpeted cargo mat. Unique interior features include brushed stainless dash appliqué, illuminated front door sills, and carpeted floor mats with the "50th Anniversary Edition" logo.

Only 3,000 units will be built at Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Kentucky. The 50th Anniversary Edition will carry a base manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $31,680 and will start arriving at Toyota dealerships in March.
